Description: Join us for a deep dive into providing gender affirming behavioral health care for transgender, non-binary and gender expansive young people and their families.
Hilary Green, Post-Doctoral Fellow of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, will give the keynote address on providing a comprehensive assessment and plan for working with transgender youth and their families.
In addition, you'll hear from a panel of providers who will share their experiences, challenges and lessons learned while serving transgender youth.
This interactive workshop will provide opportunity to skill share, look at specific cases and network with providers with a range of experience serving LGBTQ+ youth. Whether you've been in the field for many years or this is a new population for you, we encourage you to come with questions and your own knowledge to share and connect with others.
This workshop is ideal for behavioral health care providers, social workers, psychologists and case managers. Parents and school personnel are encouraged to attend our upcoming Spring Workshop on March 3, 2017. More details to come!
This workshop is limited to 50 participants. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact the organizer so your spot may be filled.
*4 CEs available: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, IAODAPCA, ISBE/CPDU
Cost: The cost of this workshop is $30 for CEs. Students/Interns who do not need CEs may attend for free. Cash/check payment is due during registration.
